On foot in terraced landscapes
A trek trough China, Laos and Vietnam. Three different cuisines, temperaments, and ways of living. The tour takes you to isolated rural areas and three important cultural cities; Kunming, Luang Prabang, and Hanoi.
Other highlights are the boat ride on the River Mekong, the enigmatic Plain of Jars, and a visit in the historically interesting Dien Bien Phu.

Tour leader
Lee MaoqingBorn 1965. Lee started as a interpreter in 2000 and as a tour leader in 2004. Lee lives in the Province of Guizhou, with his wife and daughter. He holds a teachers degree. He is Miao, which his also his mother-tongue, but he also speaks dong and naturally Chinese and English. He plays xiao, which he claims to be perfect in combination with the stringed instrument qin.
Nguyen Chi LinhBorn 1972. Has worked with Study Tours since 2007. Linh was brought up in Bac Ninh, but now lives outside Hanoi, with his wife and two children. Has a teachers degree in English. "My work at Study and Travel gives me the chance to shoe travellers the real Vietnam."
Nguyen Van NangBorn 1964 and has worked with Study Tours since 1999. Nang lives in Hanoi with his wife and two children. He holds a a teachers degree as a English teacher. Collects antique porcelain and ceramics. " To lead tours for Study and Travel is much more interesting than for traditional travel agencies."
