You trek to Lake Lhamo Lhatso-Dalai Lama's sacred lake, surrounded by snow coated mountains. Through the highest situated monastery in the world, Rongbuk, close by the Mount Everest base camp you reach the Katmandu Valley.

Tour leader
Norbu RinchenBorn 1979. Has worked with Study Tours since 2004. Norbu was brought up in a nomad family in northern Tibet, but lives in Lhasa today and works nonprofit with disabled children. He studied aboard.
Shekhar Singh DangolBorn 1966.Started as interpreter in 1989, as a tour leader in 1995. He lives in Panga, where he works as a English teacher. Married and has two sons. He is an experienced trekker and well informed in political matters. He says that the best part the tour is "staying with families along the trek". Leads the tour in Nepal.
