Dag 1 Meeting
Meeting at "the most well placed hotel in the world" in Bhaktapur in the Kathmandu Valley. The whole town is a Unesco world heritage.
Dag 2 Bhaktapur
Meeting, introduction and a walk together through this old town. Bhaktapur is a small, traditional town almost without any modern houses. The royal palace is just outside your room like the big temples where people pay homage to the gods in the morning. The town has not changed much curing the last 200 years and can be looked upon as a museum in natural scale. Artisans work in the street and hawkers loudly tries to get attention. Streets are too narrow to permit cars. In the evening you talk about the trekking ahead of you.
Dag 3 The Kathmandu Valley
Sightseeing to a few of the most reputed sights inside the valley.
Dag 4 Bus to Beni
By rented bus to Beni west of Pokhara. A quite long journey, but the bus is yours and you can stop anywhere you like.Dag 5-13 The best trekking in the world
Nepal offers the best trekking; the highest mountains by far, fascinating and welcoming people of many ethnic groups. In smaller groups you walk between villages in an area south of Annapurna where few if any tourists visit. Much of the time you have the view of the 8000 meter peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. You walk 3 - 6 hours a day at elevations of 1000-3300 meters through different vegetation zones and stay in private families of different ethnic groups ore in basic lodges. You eat in the kitchen the local food, usually rice, boiled lentils and vegetables. Most trails are big and well built. You have the tourleader, one extra interpreter and porters who carry your baggage. With the assistance of the tourleader and interpretor you can exchange questions and views with your hosts family - unique experiences that you will never forget. The exact route of the trekk may be changed and is somewhat flexible.
Dag 14 Bus till Pokhara
Short bus journey to Pokhara which is now dominated by tourism. Here you can rest and enjoy a tourist-menu. You can even take a swim in the lake.
Dag 15 Bus to Chitwan
Bus to the plains. Here is Chitwan National Park, one of the best in South Asia.
Dag 16-17 Chitwan National Park
I Chitwan National Park you find rhinos in great numbers, several spices of deer, crocodile, a great birdlife and troops of monkeys. With luck you may see tiger, bear and leopard. The tiger is not dangerous, but be careful with rhinos. It is an Eldorado for those interested in nature. You can go by canoe and ride an elephant. Most rewarding is to make long day walks by foot with a guide. Then you will see a lot of animals.
Dag 18 Return to Kathmandu
Bus to Kathmandu and onward to our hotel in Bhaktapur.
Dag 19 Rest or shopping
The Kathmandu Valley offers a great variety of handicraft and high quality outdoor equipment at very low prices.
Dag 20 Last day
The tour ends and you may book your flight from this day.
