Madagascar
A continent of its own
Madagascar resembles nothing else. It was seperated from the African mainland 90 million years ago, creating a flora and fauna that is now mostly endemic to the island. You will walk in rain forest, dry forest with cactus-like trees, and among peculiar rock formations, with lemurs and chameleons peeking through the undergrowth.
Man first set foot on the island only 1500 years ago - by way of Indonesia. You visit the people and their splendid villages on the highland.
